Activities for Father’s Day
With Father’s Day just around the corner, now’s your chance to to show Dad just how much you care.
Over the years, Dad has worn many hats. He’s been your bank, your taxi, the chef, doctor – ultimately, your hero! It can be hard to decide on what to do or even gift Dad for Father’s Day. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. With a number of great activities open to you and Dad this year, your weekend will be jam packed with fun.
Cook Off:
In my house, we can get quite competitive. We like to challenge one another and love watching cooking shows. When we see something we really like, we bet each other that we can make it better. If this sounds anything like yourself and your Dad it could be a great idea for Father’s Day.
It doesn’t have to be about baking a cake, it could be who can make the best steak and chips, the best bread etc. Then it is up to the rest of the family to decide who is the winner and who wins the prize?
Creating Something Together:
Why not get your hands dirty this Father’s Day? Make something interesting with Dad or even renovate something – it’s a great activity to do together. Mess about with a canvas and spray paint, paint the house or tackle the garden.
Whatever you choose, it will be a chance for some one on one time with Dad. Once you are finished, it calls for a few beers, perhaps on the beach?
Movie Night:
If your Dad is anything like mine, he would be a big fan of war movies. It could be a marathon of ”Band of Brothers”, or show him some of your favourite’s. Perhaps Die Hard isn’t just a Christmas movie?
The good thing about movie night is, you get to be comfortable at home. Dad can even wear his slippers. You can dive into the popcorn (that won’t cost you an arm and a leg) and enjoy dunking the chocolate into your cuppa – Delicious!
Get Gaming:
Whether it’s chess or call of duty. It might be time to bring out the competitive side of Dad. There is nothing better then grabbing some snacks and diving into a good game. It could be a game you both enjoy or you could teach one another new games, while Dad shares card games, you could teach him more about online gaming. Let Dad whip up a character and join you on the battle field.
It may not seem like much but time is the most precious gift you can give a loved one. Go on, pick out your favourite games and go shopping for the best snacks today.
So, there you have it, Father’s day activities are all sorted. Now all that’s left is to decide what gift you want to bring with you. Well, if you are stuck, we are only happy to help. Why not gift Dad the Uccello Kettle. It could be his new power tool of the kitchen. It’s tilt-to-pour action means that Dad won’t have to lift the kettle to pour it. It also comes in 4 great colour options and had been referred to as a mini R2D2 by some.
What about the Muggi – it’s our rough and ready cup holder. It has an 88 year warranty on it, is made from recycled materials and is virtually indestructible. Dad can use it for his cuppa and biscuits or even as a the BBQ buddy where it holds all his sauces.
What ever you choose, just know they are sold here, easy to wrap and come with free delivery.
