One thing we have all learned after the global pandemic is how important it is for people to enjoy their independence while also having a good standard of support and care while doing so.
Thankfully, that will be possible for many older Australians with the introduction of the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). This is due to come into effect in early June 2023. The aim is to reform in-home aged care and this program intends to ”develop a better in-home aged care system in consultation with older Australians and community stakeholders.”
It places an emphasis on assisting older Australians to live independently and safely within the home. This program will provide four levels of home care packages dependent on your needs.
