The Uccello Kettle Creator
Master craftsmanship is the calling card of designer, developer and entrepreneur. Andy DePetra, a passionate, Italian inventor who combined his love of Italian design standards with the art of coffee drinking, designed the sophisticated, yet functional Uccello patented Kettle.
European Influence
Leaving Italy when at 6 years old, Andy arrived on the shores of Perth, Western Australia in 1952. With him be brought hidden talent for inventing, innovating and developing new business ideas and products.
Retaining his love for Italian café society and good Italian coffee. Andy wanted to combine function with aesthetic to develop an ergonomic kettle concept that had never been seen before.
Ergonomics & Design
With its fluid tilt-to-pour action. The kettle tilts the housing to deliver steaming hot water to the desired vessel, without causing undue pressure and weight-bearing to the coffee maker.
The Uccello Kettle, with its uniquely designed pendulum arc of forward motion, remarkably resembles a small bird and was aptly named “Uccello” which means “bird” in Italian.
