The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is Australia’s national scheme for people with a disability, their families, and Carers. The scheme funds the costs associated with disabilities and provides the funding directly to the individual.

Funding under the NDIS includes:

  • Daily personal activities.
  • Transport to help in participation within the community, social, economic, and daily life activities.
  • Workplace help to allow you to successfully get to stay employed.
  • Therapeutic supports (including behaviour support).
  • Help with household tasks to allow you to maintain your home environment and stay independent.
  • Help from skilled workers in aids or equipment assessment, set up and training.
  • Home modification design and construction.
  • Mobility equipment & daily living products.
  • Vehicle modification.
